RELIGION

RELIGION: The belief of every individual without any logic

Religion- one of the most important and fundamental aspects of humanity. When a child is born and lands on this beautiful earth, he learns the same way of living, customs and traditions of one’s family; the way of speaking, the language, jargon, manners, religion and also the hereditary characters. If you don’t like a person’s behavior, you can tell him to change his manners, change his habits, change his attitude. But religion is the only thing which hurts a person when it is spoken ill of. My religion ISLAM-the religion of peace. Islam itself means “peace”. I love the melodious, enchanting sound of azan which reminds everyone to hasten for namaaz and leave everything behind.
But few things which our religion commands such as sacrificing animals and eating their meat. Even I don’t like this practice though it is a part of my religion. Animals are also like us and they also want to live in this world and share this earth in the same way as humans do.But…….it is a part of our custom, and no logic should be shown for it. Our lord says that we are just a drop in the ocean. We don’t have the knowledge of the future and why bad things are done. There is a reason behind it which only our lord knows.
Also, getting up early in the morning whether it is cold or hot, performing ablution and praying. It is quite difficult to wake up early when it is cold and also when we sleep very late. But again, it is a part of our religion, and no logic or reason should be shown behind it. There is some reason existing behind it which our lord alone knows. We judge and care only about our present affairs and not the future consequences of it.
The above points do not mean that I am condemning my religion. I love my religion, my lord and my prophet more than my life and I am eager to go to paradise, which is called jannah in our language. When I came to Hyderabad as a new inhabitant, I observed things there. Everything was similar except a few things, such as wearing burqa and scarf for ladies, and reciting the holy book Quran by not only just reading it, but reciting it with tajweed (special rules). In Bengal, only males used to go to mosques but here, in Hyderabad, there are separate arrangements for ladies too. I remember, in Ramzan, I used to go to mosque with my parents. My father used to offer prayer in ground floor, and me and my mum used to offer in the first floor, which was a separate arrangement for women.
I want to conclude by saying that though everyone has different nature, different languages, different culture, you can speak bad about their nature, their living style but never speak ill of one’s religion which hurts their inner feelings. Love for one’s religion exists for every individual, be it a Hindu, Muslim or any other. Never hurt one’s feelings of religion.
